A Smarter City Needs Safer Traffic

Traffic Safety Powered by Data
Traffic safety programs are achieving great results in bringing down accidents, injuries and fatalities, but though the technology used in these programs has advanced, the means and methods for planning these programs has changed little in the past 30 years.
We think it is time to change that. Traiffic Labs introduces Optimized Traffic Safety and Enforcement (OTSE) a subscription service to provide communities with the ability to optimize their Traffic Safety and Enforcement resources based on measurable goals and strategies.
Combining the latest in Transportation Engineering practices with advanced analytics and AI, OTSE provides a living model of the traffic situation in a community and its area, allowing transportation and enforcement planners to subtly shift resource deployment to improve outcomes proactively. OTSE delivers its optimizations in multiple formats including ARCGIS, so communities can seamlessly integrate the findings directly into their planning and scheduling tools.
In today’s highly charged political atmosphere, enforcement – especially Automated Traffic Enforcement (ATE) – has become a hot button issue. Despite strong research indicating accident reduction, cries of “cash cow” resound. OTSE provides a scientific and statistical justification for the placement of Enforcement resources – tying the location to meaningful accident reduction strategies, and scoring the current state against the desired state. Follow up Analytics will then demonstrate the effectiveness of the campaign.
